A Location for Managing the Aftermath of Loss

The Greenwich Village Center for Separation and Loss is the public voice of the private practice of clinical psychologist Robert Gangi, Ph.D.

In a field with few practitioners, the site is intended as a resource for those coping with loss and separation, either in their own lives or in the life of a close friend, colleague, or loved one. Topics in the  Information About Bereavement section (in the drop-down menu above) provide sketches of what to expect following a loss, including very problematic losses such as sudden, unexpected losses to suicide or accident, or losses of children. Topics in this section also provide a description of the nature of recovery, the means of getting there, and questions about the place of others in the effort. The Available Services section of the website lists services provided by Dr. Gangi in the New York area as well as useful links to local and national organizations for those both within and outside of the New York region.
